Benchmark sold our house before it was even listed! That's how good they are. The team visited us, took a tour and made some recommendations for getting the house ready to show. Nothing was packed and we had done no painting, rug replacements, etc. As she was leaving, the buyer broker said she might have someone that would be interested, but we just kind of passed it off as a "nice thing to say". I began pulling items from closets and packing boxes...the house was in turmoil to say the least. About two days later, the broker called and said she had someone who would like to take a look. I mumbled something about the house being a total disaster, etc., and she said not to worry. So I threw what I could into boxes and carried them to the cellar and dashed through the house making it as presentable as possible. Benchmark brought the couple through and said they would get back to me. Thinking it was highly unlikely that any purchase would result, I dragged out all the boxes again and again created an in-house hurricane. Two days later, the team called and said the same people would like to take another look. I have to admit...I was getting a little irritated about dragging the same boxes back and forth, packing and unpacking.... Well, I raced to finish packing at least those boxes and left the house. Two days later, the team called with an offer on the house and a short time later, we were able to move into our new house, barely finished by an early deadline. We didn't have a fancy house....it was just a regular well-loved family home where we had lived for 33 years, raised our three children and retired. The people at Benchmark, especially Tom and the team, were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and professional. You won't be disappointed.
